Betrayal
In icy winds of betrayal's grasp, Swift as winter, its venom clasped. Piercing breath, it struck my chest, Leaving me broken, left for dead. Once trust adorned our sacred bond, Now shattered, lost, forever gone. Deception's blade, a cruel caress, Leaving wounds that won't convalesce. Betrayal's sting cuts deep within, A bitter truth, a painful sin. Like frostbite's touch, it numbs the soul, Leaving scars that never truly console. Yet through the chill, I will arise, Resilience kindled in sorrow's guise. For from betrayal, strength will bloom, And I'll rebuild from the depths of gloom. No longer captive to deceit's cruel plight, I'll rise above, reclaim my light. For in the face of betrayal's strife, I'll emerge stronger, forging a new life. Romique π
