Betrayal
In the depths of trust, a bond was formed A friendship strong, in hearts adorned But shadows crept, deceit took hold A tale of betrayal, yet untold Promises made like whispers in the wind But behind a facade, a treacherous sin Words that cut like a dagger's blade A trust shattered, a heart betrayed Once a haven of laughter and cheer Now tainted by lies fueling the fear A friendship lost, forever changed In the face of betrayal, emotion estranged The pain runs deep like an endless tide The wounds reopened, a part of us died Yet in this darkness, a glimmer of light A lesson learned to choose friends right For in the face of betrayal's cruel sting we find strength to rise, to spread our wings To trust again with caution and care And to let the scars remind us to be aware So let this poem be a solemn plea so cherish the bonds, to set hearts free For in the face of betrayal's bitter tool We find strength to heal, and to console
