BETRAYAL
Betrayal, a dagger in the heart, A wound that cuts deep, tearing apart. Promises broken, trust shattered, Leaving behind a soul battered. A friend turned foe, a lover untrue, Betrayal comes in many forms, it's true. A knife in the back, a stab in the dark, Leaving behind a painful mark. The ones we thought we could rely on, Turn out to be the ones who've done us wrong. Betrayal leaves us feeling lost and alone, Wondering how we could have not known. But in the end, we rise above, Stronger for having felt the sting of love. Betrayal may leave us scarred and bruised, But it's a lesson learned, not to be confused.
