Beneath the Weight of a Broken
I held your name like sacred flame, But now it burns, not bright—just blame. Your voice, once peace, now cuts like glass, A sweet mirage that wouldn’t last. The nights are long, the silence loud, My heart gets lost inside a crowd. The world expects I wear a smile, But grief walks with me every mile. You said forever—soft, sincere, Then vanished like you were never here. Now every thought's a battlefield, With wounds too deep to ever heal. My mind’s a storm I can't escape, Each breath a chore, each smile a fake. I scroll through texts like old love songs, Each word a proof that I was wrong. Stress hangs heavy on my spine, A clock that ticks but won’t align. And though I cry, the tears just dry— No answers fall from a cracked sky. Yet still, I breathe, though I don’t know why, Beneath the weight of a broken sky.
