Beneath The First Glance
In the dawn of first glances, Masks of faces, shields of hearts, We meet and haste to cast our stances, In judgments, drawn from the start. Yet beneath the surface, deeper truths, Threads of tales, untold, unseen, Lives of chapters, joys, and woes, More than what appears, has been. So linger longer, gaze anew, For treasures hide in every soul, A heart once caged, might yet break through, A mind as bright as molten gold. Judge not the book by its cover, Nor the song by first refrain, For the souls we meet, discover, A hidden depth in joy and pain. Behold the journey, pause to see, In every face, a story’s light, For in the grace of empathy, We find the beauty, in every sight.
