Beneath the Broken
Nearly eleven months, our hearts entwined, A love so deep, a bond so kind. But now there's a fracture, a crack in the glass, A shadow between us, memories of the past. I trusted you with everything I am, But betrayal came like a silent slam. It hurts, it stings, this weight in my chest, Yet still, I long to see us at our best. We love each other more than words can say, But in that moment, you lost your way. Drugs clouded your mind, blurred your heart, A mistake so deep, tearing us apart. I want to move forward, leave the pain behind, But the echoes of your actions still cloud my mind. I’m afraid, I wonder, will it happen again? The fear of betrayal, the fear of the end. Still, I see the hope in the way you try, I watch you reach, I hear your sigh. We’re both broken, yet we both still care, Trying to rebuild, trying to repair. Love isn’t perfect, but it’s worth the fight, Even in the dark, we can find the light. But with every step forward, there’s a lingering doubt, That the trust we rebuild might still fade out. So here I stand, though my heart feels torn, In the ruins of hurt, love is reborn. We’ll move past the ache, past the fear, I still want us, my love, to stay near.
