Beneath False Skies
In the halls of silence, I tread alone, A heart once bright, now turned to stone. A topper, they say, with a mind so clear, Yet lost in the shadows, drowning in fear. Innocence woven in my gentle soul, Used and torn, I no longer feel whole. Friends turned strangers, love turned cold, Trust is a treasure I've been forced to unfold. Heartbreak lingers like an unwelcome guest, Whispering secrets, leaving me stressed. A melody of sorrow, a song so deep, That no one listens, while I silently weep. Lonely, I stand in this vast unknown, The world moves forward, I’m left alone. Echoes of laughter, voices of cheer, But none are for me, none draw near. I’ve given too much, too blindly to see, That love isn’t something that comes easily. Now, I’m a stranger to my own soul, Searching for pieces to make me whole. Yet still, I rise, though broken and bruised, With every loss, I’m somehow amused. For in the darkness, I’ll find my light, And build my own path through this endless night. ~Abdullahiftakhar
