being alone
The silence hums, a constant drone, A symphony of solitude, I'm all alone. No laughter rings, no voices call, Just echoes bouncing off the empty wall. The sunbeams dance, a golden hue, But cast long shadows, lonely, too. The wind whispers tales of distant lands, Of bustling crowds and helping hands. Yet here I stand, a solitary soul, My heart a vessel, yearning to be whole. A yearning for connection, a shared embrace, To find a kindred spirit, in this lonely space. But even in the stillness, a strength I find, A quiet peace, a calm within my mind. For solitude can be a gentle guide, To learn to love myself, and stand with pride. So let the silence wash away the fear, Embrace the quiet, and hold it dear. For in this solitude, I learn to grow, And find the strength to let my spirit flow.
