BEING A FIRST BORN
As I look back on childhood days, I remember the weight of gentle ways, A responsibility bestowed upon me, To shield and protect, a sibling family. Their tiny hands, their curious eyes, Their laughter and tears, their surprise, I stood watch, a guardian true, A firstborn's duty, through and through. Summer nights, bedtime stories told, I'd whisper low as their hearts grew old, Fears and dreams, I'd calm and share, A bond between us, beyond compare. Now they're grown, with paths of their own, But in my heart, that instinct remains sown, A deep-seated need to guide and defend, A firstborn's love that will never end. writter:Mamyterh Sanusi
