Being A Christian
Being a Christian doesn't mean I have to tolerate toxic family members. I'm allowed to distance myself for the sake of my mental health. Just because I'm a Christian doesn't mean I have to let people walk all over me. If I keep allowing them to mistreat me, I'll never be free. Being a Christian doesn't mean I have to be too nice. Being too nice will only lead to people pleasing. Just because I'm a Christian doesn't mean I have to say "yes" all the time. I can set boundaries which is simply fine. Being a Christian doesn't mean I can't speak my truth. Yet when I call out the toxicity I get gaslighted. As the black sheep I'm tired of everything! But God chose me, because I finally see the dysfunctions that my narcissistic family members refuse to see. Being a Christian doesn't mean I have to dim my light to make others comfortable. I'm sick and tired of the enabling abusers. I wanna let my light shine, I'm tired of letting fear win. I refuse to fall into depression for anyone ever again.
