BEHIND THE MASK

I wear a mask to conceal my soul, A shield to protect me from life's role. No one sees the depths of my heart, The secrets hidden, the truth apart. In my own world, I find my strength, A sanctuary where I can length. I search for answers, night and day, And find solace in my own way. My thoughts are waves, forever flowing, A river guiding me, forever growing. I'm learning to voice my inner voice, Embracing my truth, making some noise. I put on a show, a brave face, But now I'm breaking free from the pace. I'm rising above the noise and pain, Finding my light, my heart regained. Now I'm shining, unapologetically me, Free to be, wild and carefree.
