Behind Someone's Eyes
Where the light doesn't shine Old memories can't find One reason to hold onto Where trees grow above you And the music stops pretending. To be seen by a blind man Even worse to be loved By a dead one The pages will grow old Your life will unfold Behind someone's eyes That won't know when you were gone Back inside, You'll find your spot You will find it untouched A cold sensation will wash over you And you won't know why It will be haunted by your ghost The ghost that once existed. Sat there with every emotion Anger, at your sister for eating your snacks Sadness, you never got what you asked There were more feelings than that, Though the pages burn fast This is the end. And you're no longer coming Back.
