Beginning of the end
In the beginning, there was love, A radiant flame high above. With each passing day, it would mend, A love that seemed to have no end. But as time went by, cracks appeared, And the love that bloomed slowly seared. Tears fell, leaving a bitter taste, As love’s light began to fade, misplaced. The end was near, the whispers said, Of a love once strong, now nearly dead. Each tear shed a trace of regret, A love story soon to forget. In the beginning, there was a loss, As love turned into a battleground of moss. Promises broke, along with hearts, As love gave way, tearing lives apart. Now all that remains is the passage of time, A broken heart left to rhyme. In the echoes of what was and could have been, Love’s ending marks the beginning, unseen. No more sweet kisses, no gentle touch, Only memories that hurt so much. And as we stand at love’s bitter end, A new beginning waits to descend. In the beginning, there was hope, A chance to heal, a new way to cope. The end may have come, but love still lives, In the lessons learned, in the future it gives. So let us embrace this beginning anew, With the scars of the past that have shaped me and you. For in every end, there lies a start, A chance to mend a broken heart
