BEFOREHAND
I wish I had met you when I believed my body was just a temple not a tool and my innocence was intact. When I guarded my body with the same pride as my heart. When my body wasn't marked by memories I never asked for. May be I would have offered you the purest version of me, my untouched self. May be I would have given you a quieter, more patient and kinder kind of love. May be we would have survived. May be this love would have been safe. I don't say it out loud often, but sometimes I sit and wonder how different life would have been if I met you earlier. Wordsella.
