Before You Left
3 days before you left You kept me up all night But I'm not complaining The only thing I'd alter Is being able to see your golden eyes In person 2 days before you left I was busy in the morning But I let you keep me up again I wish I could've held you I wish That I'd said more 12 hours before you left I waved to you in between classes But I couldn't hold back my grin Neither could you And my friend's giggled behind me As I walked off, head down 6 hours before you left I pet my cat outside But I stopped every once in a while To respond to your texts You said you wished you could see me I respond with nothing less 3 hours before you left I waited for your call But my brother couldn't Hold back his excitement So We sat in silence 1 hour before you left We talked and talked and talked But never said a word about us You didn't hold my hand today But you know I didn't have the courage anyway 1 minute before you left "Bye," I said, "Bye-bye," you waved Suddenly, your voice rang And your face morphed Suddenly There was nothing Because without you There is nothing
