bedroom door
Each day there's nothing but pain outside my bedroom door, Each day outside of it is a war. My room the only place I feel safe anymore. But even there there's a war, a war in my head, And I keep breaking and breaking but nobody puts me back together. So each day I lay in bed, Pretending to be asleep so that I don't have to deal with the war out there. The constant noise like a noose around my neck, The kid I used to be and should be, dead, My only escape is this. Writing and putting each tear into each letter so that they don't see them. At least not as much as they did. And I want it that way, Because if I cry then I break again. And I don't want to. It hurts more than anything Being broken but never being heard. You're screams silenced by your pillow, You're life almost taken by a handful of pills, You're tears falling upon blind eyes. Only being seen once you're gone. Once you wrote that letter and climbed to the roof, Then when you took that last step, You said sorry for something you never did. You took your life so they could continue to be ignorant to your pain. So that they would never understand.
