Bed of thorns
Oh, mighty god from above, strike me with a bolt from the sky These are my very first thoughts waking up on a bed of thorns Lately, the people around me got me full of wonder and questions Do we truly have something inside cause the way we've been acting... Last night, i stayed up carving myself with my own sharp nails I found out, i indeed have it in me, buzzing inside me But now i also have the scars that will never heal to keep it company The very best things are fresh, cold, white sheets After a shower, just wanna roll in them the whole day You can never go wrong with feeling a little bit of innocence After this, they will never be the same cause i bleed red I quickly ran and covered the bed with some rose petals Make it romantic and sweet, so no one will notice what i’ve done The way i use my humor to hide, the darkness that lays inside Only thing left is my hollow and empty heart, so i made it my treasure Buried down underground, safe and sound, never to be seen What is left for the people is a mirage of what once was Ever since that night, i’ve been waking up on a bed of thorns
