BED OF THORNS
In a garden filled with roses, fair and bright, There lies a bed of thorns, hidden from sight. A tale of love and pain, it does unfold, Of a heart that was once warm, now bitter and cold. Upon this bed of thorns, a love did bloom, But little did they know, it would lead to their doom. For every touch, a prick, a sting so deep, Leaving scars on their souls, secrets they would keep. They danced in the moonlight, entwined as one, But the thorns grew sharper, piercing their fun. Each step they took, with caution and dread, For the bed of thorns, became their marriage bed. Oh, how they yearned for the softness of a rose, But instead, they were trapped in a world of woes. Their love, once vibrant, now withered and torn, As they lay on this bed of thorns, lost and forlorn. Yet, amidst the pain, a lesson they would learn, That love, like a rose, has thorns at every turn. It tests our strength, our will to endure, And teaches us that love is not always pure.
