Because of You
I blame You. It's your fault. Every bit of it. Because of You, I can't shake this feeling. No matter how much I try, It's stuck. You have no idea how much you've messed with my head, Making me fall for you like this. I never asked for this, Never wanted to feel this way about you. But here I am, falling for you. I see your face in the crowd, Hear your voice in the wind I wake up with your name on my lips, And I fall asleep with memories of you haunting my dreams. I stay up at night, Replaying our conversations, Hoping for a sign that maybe, Just maybe, You feel something too. But you don't. And I blame you for that. I hate how you act like everything's okay while I'm here grappling with all these feelings you don't even know about. It's like I'm invisible to you, Yet you hold so much power over me. I blame you for making me care so much when you don't even see me. You've burrowed your way so deeply into my heart, And now I'm stuck here, Wishing things could be different— But knowing deep down that they never will be. And it's not fair, It's not right, But somehow, It's my reality now. Yet still I can't help but wonder, Do I cross your mind? Even for a fleeting second? The way you invade mine every single day? Do you lie awake at night, Tormented by the what-ifs and the could-have-beens? Y'know sometimes I wish I could just turn back time, Go back to when everything felt so simple and right. But I know deep down that's just a fantasy, A dream I cling to in moments of weakness. I wish I had the guts to tell you and get it over with. So maybe I could finally be free from this torment. But I can't. And that just makes it hurt even more. I wish I could blame someone else, But it's you, It's always been you, And I can't help but resent you for it. You'll never know how much you've hurt me because I'll never have the courage to tell you. So I'll just keep pretending like everything's okay, While I silently curse the day I met you.
