Because I'm too afraid to love

Because I'm too afraid to love I wander alone in the sandy coast Squinting at the bright star above I tread along paths where souls get lost Because I'm too afraid to love I rarely give out or give in.  I fly lonely like a peaceful dove Squeezing through every thick and thin. Because I'm too afraid to do many I've not explored minds quite yet Name the people, if you know any Who would love me for the way I'm set. All the while the birds flew, I was too afraid to spread my wing. All the while, the whales vocalised I was too afraid to let myself sing. All the while that I shied away Nobody ever asked me to stay. And all the while that I existed  Love never drove my eyes, misted My heart was caged with the key above  because I was too afraid to love.
