Because I Missed The Light
A little canary in cage, Sunshine it was, Wearing a crown in head, And rosy cheeks it had. My cage was beautiful Box always full of grains In my balcony I stood I peeped out of my cage There stood a tall mango tree The birds flew high up pecked on the fruits They all waved at me I moved a bit And away they flew Even I had wings Clipped for my safety Is this the only home I know? Why I missed the light? My master was kind, He called me Toto Fed me gain weight Yet it never felt great The house was bright Full of colorful lights Yet I missed the sunlight Everything I had This was my life But why it never felt right? Why I missed the light? Seasons changed, Yet it was always winter for me Spring never appeared at my cage Why I missed the light? I wanted to be free Climb up the tree I wanted chat with clouds And greet the morning sun Why do I miss the light? Should I break the cage? but I was frail What if I fail My wings are clipped I won't be able to cross the cliff What if I die? Is it worth the fight Yet I miss the light. This is my only home Let's live in comfort zone Maybe I can never fly I can't touch the sky But how will I know If I never try? I had
