Because I Love You
In spite of your transgressions, I absolve your blame, And though you wronged me, my heart still bears your name. Your comparisons cut deep, like a dagger's cruel sway, Yet, I forgive, for love's resilient, come what may. Your words, a maelstrom of hurt, left me bereft and worn, But still, my love for you remained, unbroken and unborn. Through labyrinthine paths of pain, I navigated my way, To find solace in forgiveness, come dawn's radiant ray. Your actions, a tapestry of tears, wove a narrative of woe, Yet, I chose to pardon, for love's redemptive glow. In crucibles of sorrow, my heart was refined and tried, And though you tested my resolve, my love remained, undivided. All that I do for you, dear one, is because I love you so, Through trials and tribulations, my devotion will forever grow. In defiance of logic, my love transcends the pain, For with you, my heart beats as one, in love's sweet, secret refrain. In the depths of your darkness, I saw a glimmer of light, A chance for redemption, a beacon in the black of night. And though you may not grasp, the magnitude of my love, Know that it stands, unwavering, sent from above. My forgiveness, a balm, to soothe your troubled soul, A gift from my heart.
