Beauty in Closeness
From a distance, it all looks fine. People smile. Their lives look full. Their stories seem simple. But when you get close, you start to notice the tension in their voice, the way they hesitate before answering, the stories they skip over. Up close, you see the truth. That most of us are just trying, trying to hold it together, trying to feel like enough, trying not to fall apart in front of anyone. And maybe, Just maybe, That's where real and true beauty begins, Not in the perfection but in the closeness, In being seen and still loved. Know and Still wanted. It's honesty. It strips away the easy version of things. And what’s left… is real. Not perfect. Not tidy. But real. Jesus didn’t stay at a distance. He came close. Close enough to touch wounds, close enough to cry beside us, close enough to carry the cross we couldn’t. So don’t be afraid of what people might see when they get close. Let them see. Let them stay. Let God meet you right there where it’s messy, and honest, and healing begins.
