Beating
A painful, piercing shot cuts right through my heart, leaving a hole with blood spilling out, beating irregularly, slowly, letting more and more blood out with each beat. More and more life. Soon, the beats are so slow as there's nothing but droplets left to pump. The pain remains. Every last pump hurts more and more. Until there's nothing left to pump. No more life left to give.
