'Be still and know that I am God' These words solemn & clear, leaving no room for doubt The same ones that held you together for so long When every step you'd taken were torturous and tormentous It became a conviction to be strong and courageous He never promised a smooth sail in the raging storm He said He'd be there with you even in a tempest And if you ever walk through the fire, There'd be an extra person to walk it with you You'd neither be scorched, burnt nor set ablaze To that, you'd lift your arms in praise The peace of God that surpasses human comprehension That I let dwell in my heart& mind in all situation The unusual joy that permeates the entirety of my being Even in utterly berserk situations has been proven true beyond reason, As one that stems solely from the Comforter There have been times when I have been hurt, bruised, broken or felt lost Times when I'd cry eyes out or scream Searching for means to escape the torment and pain Times when I'd felt forsaken like Cain Times when I've been bound and marked by a stain One I thought I could let go of if I cry under the rain But guess what, time and time again I'd find the one who can break every chain
