battles
I soak in blood on a battlefield of love, the red wings fly like a mist of death, the pain pours out like a roaring flood, I try to stay alive awaiting my last breath, my thoughts are of you and the pain we shared, the way you held me and how much you cared, I fought to the end but now I must go, my world is adrift and subdued frozen in snow, the tears fall like rain heavier as they flow, my hope loses luster and reduces its glow, I miss you my darling my angel my queen, was I ever really yours, was I ever really seen?
