Bad Lies
A false accusation weighs upon my heart, A burden borne of mistrust and bitter art. They claim I did what I did not do, A lie that hurts, and justice I pursue. Their words, a poison that infects the air, A relationship once pure, now beyond repair. I try to reason, to plead my case, But deaf ears turn, and a hardened face. The frustration mounts, a fire that burns, As I proclaim my innocence, and yearn. For someone to hear, to see the truth, To understand that I'm not the proof. Their accusations cut, a knife so fine, A bond once strong, now fractured in time. I long to clear my name, to set things right, To mend the tears, and end this endless night. But still they doubt, and still they claim, I'm guilty of a deed that's not my aim. The weight of this, a heavy load to bear, A heart that's heavy, with a truth to share. So I'll stand tall, and let my voice be heard, I'll fight for justice, and let the truth be stirred. For I am innocent, and I will not yield, My name, my reputation, I'll forever shield.
