attachment issues
I cling to shadows, hold too tight, Afraid that love will slip from sight. Each bond I forge, I thread with fear, Of loss, rejection drawing near. I long for closeness, yet I flee, The weight of trust suffocates me. Each tender word, each hand held tight, Feels like a tether in the night. Too much, too fast, or not enough, I waver, fragile, in the rough. A touch could heal, or tear apart, The fragile seams around my heart. So here I stand, alone yet near, Craving what I cannot endear. For love, it scares me, yet I yearn, A lesson I still need to learn.
