At the foot of the cross
Looking up at the foot of the cross I am down on my knees my hands together as I close my eyes whispering a prayer to you I ask of you Lord to have mercy on me, a sinner, someone unworthy of your merciful love as I close my eyes, I can feel my heart burning for you as your presence is strong your love for humanity burning brighter than that of the sun's your sacrificial love for humanity so present in the Eucharist as bread and wine transubstantiates into your body and blood not merely a symbol, but purely present closing my eyes, I can see all the angels and saints gathering around together with the people here on earth as witnesses to the beautiful miracle happening transcendent through space and time, I can feel your unconditional love for humanity
