Ashes in the Rain ( Part 1)
I lit a match in a world that never dried, Hoping the flame would prove I'm alive. But the smoke rose higher than my hope, Now I'm choking on words I never spoke. She said love’s a bridge, I stepped— But it broke. Now I’m trapped between memory And letting go. The mirror don’t talk, but it stares like it knows, Sees the scars on my wrist I forgot to disclose. A laugh in the void, a dance with regret, I drink to forget what I can't resurrect. They say time heals, but it's cold where I’m stuck, Clock hands sharp like the edge of bad luck. Dreams bleed slow when you sleep with the pain, And hearts turn to ash when it falls in the rain.
