As the year ends
2025, you walked in quiet, But your silence screamed. You dressed in hope, But wore shadows underneath. You taught me pain I didn’t ask for, Grief wrapped in pretty mornings. Smiles I gave broke me later, Hugs I held turned to warnings. You stripped away what I thought was mine, Left echoes where love used to stay. Taught me people can hold you close, And still slowly walk away. But through your storms I stood, Bruised, but not bowed. Tears fell like prayer, Soft, but loud. You showed me strength in weakness, In every crack, I found light. So even in your sorrow, I still choose to fight. Thank you for the pain, 2025 It carved me deep, But I’m still here. Still breathing. Still me.
