As In The Days Of Yore
In bygone eras, when Sodom's gates did stand, And Gomorrah's towers pierced the heavens' hand, A world awash in vice, in sin and shame, Did beckon forth the wrath, the fiery flame. As it was then, so it is now, alas! The same iniquities, the same licentious pass, The same disdain for righteousness, the same scorn, For holiness and virtue, in this modern morn. But lo! The Lion of Judah, mighty and true, Shall rise, a radiant star, to shine anew, With eyes of fire, and a heart of burning coal, He shall dispense justice, and right the wrongs of old. His roar shall thunder, like the tempest's might, As He descends, in glory, to claim His right, The wicked shall tremble, the righteous shall rejoice, As the Lion of Judah, with power, shall make His voice. The earth shall shake, the mountains shall quake, As He, the King of kings, His throne shall undertake, With mercy and with justice, He shall reign supreme, And all shall know, His name, His power, His theme.
