Arrivederci

A Poem Dedicated to Kuya Mackiee Arrivederci By: Marivil Boniza The fledgling glimpse of elation scattered into fragments, Erasing all the trace, And in my head an emptiness I dread, Those shard of joy was lost in a maze where emotion gaze with haze, yet this somber, a burden I carry, Feels as deep as the ocean within A silent scream, a plea without voice, In this abyss, where I have no choice, but to withstand the trials that fate had store for me, The vicissitudes of life led me down divergent paths, and I were unable to find my way back to one another, In solitude, we grieve and weep, As we part from the one we vowed to keep, Yet in our souls, our spirit shall reside, A guiding light, our eternal guide The void you left will never fade and In my heart, your memory is saved, In the tapestry of life, they'll forever shine, A timeless bond, a love divine Hopes defeated, A spirit, torn and bleak, Longing for love it dares not seek Farewell, dear soul, until we meet again, In that realm where joy knows no end My soul aches with the weight of grief As I try to find some sort of relief, As I now bid goodbye, to this fleeting scheme
