Are u okay?
"Are you really okay?" A question asked every day. I smile and softly say, "I'm fine," Then watch the truth fade away. Most people hear my answer And simply move along. But my true friends ask again, Because they know something feels wrong. "What happened?" "Talk to me." "You're not yourself today." Those are the questions Only real friends think to say. No one hears the silent cries Hidden behind tired eyes. No one sees the heavy weight I carry with a smiling face. Some wounds don't leave a scar. Some battles stay where no one can see. The loudest pain is often found In the quietest parts of me. I laugh when everyone is near, Then fall apart when they disappear. The silence knows the words I hide, The tears I never let outside. So if you ask, "Are you really okay?" Don't stop at my first reply. Because the people who truly care Always ask one more question— And that's how they find The truth I couldn't say.
