Appetite
It's stuck with me This vague, dull sense of loneliness It has an appetite I'm never full or satisfied Maybe I'm the one with an appetite It's almost like a quiet, persistent buzzing Some sort of compulsive paranoia You can never quite place a finger on It only exists in the back of my mind Yet it pesters me every day I'll ask and ask Until my face hurts and my throat is dry Until you finally realize you've been lying Lying all this time But I never wanted this in the first place If I have an appetite, I'm fat and plump But no one has ever been enough Because I have never felt like I'm enough
