Anxiety Can't Hurt You
People say that anxiety can't hurt you. The reality is, it kills you all the way through. It starts with a slight shake, a bouncing leg. Soon it turns into a gasping breath, a hopeless beg. The noise that seemed deafening seems dull now. Noise is the only thing that keeps you on the ground. "Anxiety can't hurt you. It's just a feeling." But the reality is that feelings are fleeting. This seems to stay when I pray for it to go away. I'll keep telling myself the lie they all say. Anxiety can't hurt you. It's just a feeling.
