Anubis, Keeper of the Dead
In the crypts where shadows crawl and creep, Where whispers of the damned never sleep, Anubis stands, with jackal's grin, The guardian of every sin.His eyes, twin voids, reflect no light, But hold the weight of endless night, A god of death with cold embrace, Who guides the souls to their resting place. He walks the path where no life treads, Among the silent, the lost, the dead, His hands, they weigh the heart and bone, In judgment, where the truth is shown. His touch is cold, like death’s own breath, A shiver that foretells your death, His claws, they dig into your soul, To drag you down into the coal. The scales of justice in his grasp, Tipped by the deeds in death's cold clasp, He is the ferryman, the final judge, Who holds no mercy, bears no grudge. In the tombs where secrets lie, He watches with unblinking eye, A silent god, a shadow's king, Who rules where the dead men sing.So fear his name, oh mortal kin, For he knows where your soul has been, And in the dark, he'll find your trace, Anubis, keeper of death's cold face.
