Answer Me
O' great gods, answer me this, Why my vision only, can see through mist. Evil is so clear, highlighted, noticeable. But my family, my friends, strangers can't seem to be able, To see what confronts them shamelessly. So I will retract, inward regretlessly. Evil covers their ears and heart, And so, if they choose this, I will part. O' great gods, tell me this, Do people love people or love only this? Is love true in people who love the feeling, Or do people love a love that is fleeting? Why is lust what people desire, When commitment just breeds tire? Trust not their smiles, words of a liar, Because stripes never change on a tiger.
