A chapter closes, a page turns gray A love lost, and friends drift away But in the heart, a spark remains A light that guides through life's pains You thought your world was crumbling down But in the dust, a new path's found A chance to rise, to start anew To discover who you are, without them too Don't let the ghosts of love and friendship past Define the beauty that will forever last You have another life to live, to grow To find new love, new friendships that will glow Embrace the unknown, take a step ahead And find the strength that's been within you, unsaid You are more than the sum of what's been lost You are brave, you are strong, you are the cost So hold your head up high, and walk with pride Into the sunset, where a new life resides And though it's hard to let go of what's been Know that another life awaits, and it's yours to win.
