!! this was my first ever slam poem !! This poem is not a poem It's a confession. And you may think I'm crazy But I've been lazy. So listen up when I say I am not a human. I am an animal. An animal at school. And you may not see my tail or my ears Or even my paws but they're still here I promise you this I am an animal at school and I will never change. And you may be thinking I'm trying to be a comedian But I'm not. I'm telling you who I truly am. And who am I? I am an animal. And you all can stare God knows I've been stared at my whole life But I never cared. I'm done hiding So stare Call me names Say I'm crazy I don't care Just know this I am done hiding. I am a therian.
