Anguish
Do you much in anguish languish? If you're in pain, you know the language. Are sounds of pain your sad refrain? Must you have hurt to understand? We all have suffered way too much, Now, most of us are numb to touch. It seems that the world these days, From empathy and compassion strays. We care far less for others' views, And sometimes even hate ensues. I wonder where the world is going, With all this raw emotion flowing. For me, it's hard to comprehend, Just how fast this world can end. Perhaps we all should pause and think, Before we end up past the brink. Our world leaders need to talk; Get down from this path we walk. And reconsider the adoption Of what is called the "nuclear option."
