Angler Fish
Everyone depends on their other glow As my entire life is full of shadow I provide you with my light Surrounded by others who judge my sight what is there to light? With an appearance so sharp A beauty yet told to be scary Love is blind they say Yet spent my life in an endless search Hunting a light other than my own. Losing hope as I known The other light, a myth not shown A distant glow came as I view seeking to know what's true. My body bears the crushing weight, Yet still, I chase this fate so great. At last, my search no more in woe, For I have found my other glow. I then swam for my curious to go To touch the light tales have told Ethereal beyond mere tale, The warmth felt as I took my rest And took my last breath
