Anger
In a fit of rage, You pour boiling blood, Onto the trembling palms Of one who has spread them for you to shower love. Too devoted to protest, Too numb to flinch, Too quiet to curse, They swallow it whole. Does it calm you, To watch them choke on your fury? Does it soothe the fire in your chest, To see them question their own heart? Do you feel mighty, Now that love tastes like fear? Do you feel in control, Now that they blame their own stars.
