Anger
The eldest daughter in her quiet room, Where silence weaves a heavy, tangled thread, A weight of sorrow seals her in the gloom, And unsaid anger lingers in her head. The loneliness, a shadow deep and vast, Consumes the hours, though the sun may shine, Her vibrant hopes now tethered to the past, A captive spirit longing to resign. She seeks a calm, a stillness in the fray, A gentle quiet where the heart can mend, To let the burdens slowly drift away, And find the peace where all the strivings end. To simply rest, and draw a breath anew, And feel the world pass softly into view.
