Angelic Salvation
You walked in the room And took my breath away You seemed perfect for me But first impressions are not final say I heard you speak I felt your presence I thought you were my match Beautifully formed for me in heaven But I know more than you think I see far more than you’d guess I saw you finally for what you truly are And I know that is for the best You would’ve been my last mistake My final straw, my only hope You would’ve been too much to handle And im afraid I couldn’t cope So farewell, walk away from my sight You might’ve been my angelic salvation But I felt it was more demonic warning And you are naught but temptation So, I will continue to wait For the soulmate of mine still lost And I will be content to know I did not falter, nor need to pay the cost
