Angel of the Mourning
The ants are in the sugar, flies swarm on rotting fruit. Everything that is good has died. Wrestled away by thoughts and time. My garden of flowers has withered away. The sun shines now on the most depressing days. Nothing that's good has ever stayed! My Angel of the Mourning has faded away. Is it all because of me? What's done is done, what will be will be. I wake up in the early hours from dreams freed inconclusively. I turn over, and no ones here ... ... the bed cold and lonesome like my soul so bare ... My angel of the mourning has faded away. I realize nothing is as good as it seems, Because nothing that's good has ever stayed.
