And She Cries
She watches as the man she thought would be a keeper dissolves. He mutilates his body daily with sorrow and alcohol. To stay and hope one day he gets clean, Or move on in the world and be free? The hurt, the pain she feels inside only grows, Her heart blackened with hate. It's a disease they say, One of nothing but dissolving fate. Lost, confused - what the fuck to do? But only pray, oh the pain... And she cries..... **This is one of the first poems I wrote in 2018 "© 2018 Tanya Downey. All rights reserved."
