they follow who exactly? I don't know. not in dreams but now in this waking life. sober like a rolling Monday I slow myself with hopes that they will catch up. a gentle tug pulls me back. I whisper "Are you kin" my ears stretched thin capture a distant fading sound "only if you follow me" then our hearts will coordinate and dial in unison.
