An Ode to those Acrobats!
Think not that these acrobats are stunning, flexible beauties, With stretchy knitwear allowing easy movement, O! Think not that I write this poem with high adrenaline, I scrunch my nose up with utmost disgust and yet, amazed at this frenzy. They scamper across every nook of the house, tails hampering behind them, O! how fast they race, in the absence of the sizzling sun that serves as light for man, Their furry dark coat provides the perfect camouflage with the looming darkness,Swoosh past you, into a tight-lipped corner, you'd think they're bait now,Eyes on prey, hands on bat raised, my furry friend is no where to be seen again! How smoothly they streamline their body through every ridiculously small hole,With a big front tooth to nibble at every trespassing and uncared-for bits,They are the perfect raiders and destroyers of a well-disposed rubbish bin,Three's a crowd and before long, a perfect room becomes a perfect mess. Furry friend nibbling on a bit, runs away when you make a hit, Furry friend in the room announces its presence, squeaking and slamming against every shelf, Furry friend in the kitchen tats live a royal life, Furry friend here, we run and flee though it's so small and lean. 'Cause it's scary!
