An Ode to the Gentleman
An Ode to the Gentleman To the Gentleman, a serendipitous find, Who rescued my lost soul, entwined In forest depths, where despair did reign, And suicidal thoughts did eerily sustain. Your helping hand, a beacon in the night, Saved me from the world's relentless, savage might. Chasing me down hills, with no peaceful nest, You arrived, a gentle breeze, and gave me rest. You see the angel in me, pure and bright, A vision obscured from the world's sight. You call me , a celestial, heavenly name, Unaware of the world's harsh, judgmental claim. Your sudden arrival, a turning point in fate, Brought a world of deserving wonder, an earned state. You admire my talents, encouraging me to shine, Polishing the rough edges, a true, gentle design. You accept me, craziness and all, Loving me with a heart that stands tall. A gentleman, through and through, a rare find, A tribute to your mother, who raised you so kind. I salute her, for nurturing a soul so bright, A gentleman, who shines with love and pure delight. ~Sharmeen Javed
